Whenever you get your hands on a bunch of good apples, this quick and easy apple crisp is a can't-miss treat that's sure to knock you off your feet!
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Ingredients:
6 apples, sliced
1 cup oatmeal or steel oats
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon (less if preferred)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. ginger
FIRST: Place apple slices in a mixing bowl, take 1 tbsp. flour, white sugar, and cinnamon, and pour over apples. Mix until combined.
THEN: Combine remaining ingredients in another bowl until crumbly.
FINALLY: Place apples in the baking dish, cover apples with second bowl's ingredients, and place in oven. Bake 45 mins. Serve warm -- with homemade ice cream, perhaps...
