Indoor S'Mores: Oven-Baked Goodness

Who doesn't love a good old fire-roasted s'more?

While I love the classic s'more, my beard-baring husband can't stand the mess. On top of this, it requires fire, which not all of us have. So, here's an indoor way to make this classically outdoor treat.

These are perfect for when you want s'mores, but the weather isn't right, you’re quarantined, you don't have a fire, etc.

Ingredients vary by desired quantity. So, really, how much of a glutton do you feel like being? Personally, the answer to that with s'mores is usually a pretty big glutton...

My recipe makes 8 s’mores per baking sheet. You need a whole graham cracker, 3 pips of a Hershey bar, and a single marshmallow per s‘more.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

FIRST: Break graham crackers in half. Place half of each full graham cracker on the baking sheet, and add marshmallows on top of the crackers. Line with parchment if desired, but not necessary.

THEN: Add chocolate to the top of marshmallows, if desired, and bake for 5-7 minutes. NOTE: if you prefer the chocolate not be more melted, then don’t add the chocolate until you’re done! Also, this recipe requires you to keep an eye on things If you’re picky, like me! If you don’t want a burnt marshmallow, watch those babies.

FINALLY: Use a spatula to carefully spoon each half-s’more onto a plate, top with the other side of your graham crackers, and serve!
